It has been an interesting couple of years being an affiliate advertiser.
The
www.u4diets.com website provides basic diet information that most dieters are aware of, but it primarily introduces the various diet plans and weight loss programs that are popular, and of course these are affiliate programs that have been joined. For those who don't know what that means... it means simply that the ads are the only source of income (there is no Google) and only when a sale is
completed is credit given to the affiliate advertiser (
NOT by click).
Of all the diet affiliate programs joined only one was a door slammed in the face, and that was Nutrisystem. Interesting enough out of all the diet plan affiliates applied for they were the only one to repeatedly decline.
What does this have to do with anything? It seems curious that at a time when the economy is hurting that any business would turn down
FREE advertising. Granted they maintain a certain standard. But the website IS about diets and dieting. It does have over 50 webpage's so it isn't a 5 page slam bam website but it does not meet their requirements.
So what is the conclusion? If you plan on making a diet website yourself and are looking for an affiliate program to join.... make sure your website is top notch, good content and active for a while with
considerable traffic before applying to their affiliate program!
If you can't get approved then here are some diet affiliate programs that are not as tough with accepting applicants:
Bistro MD home delivery diet plan
Diet-to-go
Diet.com
eDiets
Denise Austin Diet Plan
Duke Diet and Fitness Plan
Jillian Michaels Weight Loss Program
Joy Bauer Diet Plan
The Sonoma Diet
South Beach Diet
Dieting is a major concern so there are many diet programs and for sure there are even more diet affiliate programs out there if you look.
